While the priests were muttering about how to get rid of Jesus, which I need to tell him, I heard Jesus raise his voice and speak. "The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son.
We were still at Zacchaeus's home eating. Those that were complaining about Jesus forgiving him were still there. So Jesus told us all a parable because he was near Jerusalem and the people thought that the kingdom of God was going to appear at once and overthrow Rome.
While we walked, I listened to a few of the people walking with us talking about the last being first. Jesus' comment confused them. One of them asked Jesus what he meant by it.
Note: This series is written as a first-person narrative to present Jesus in the context he walked in with the unknown disciple that narrates introducing my thoughts and sparking more ideas with his questions. Enjoy.
