In 2018 I got some index cards and wrote prayers on them, asking for different things. I would pray through them every day. One of the prayers was for kids. Specifically that Casey would have a boy before she's 35. Her 35th birthday came and went. I prayed for a little longer. I want to say I was continuing to pray faith-filled prayers while we tried fertility treatments again. I didn't. The prayers changed from asking for a baby to asking God to remove the desire to have kids.

A Blind Man’s Faith; Learning Under Jesus
A large crowd surrounded Jesus and us. Along the way, beggars sat. A blind man was also sitting by the roadside begging. "What's all the noise about," he asked another beggar. "Jesus of Nazareth is coming this way."

I love the book Antifragile: Things That Gain From Disorder by Nassim Nicholas Taleb. It was a great help during a trying time in my life in 2013-2014. I really love the concept of antifragility it describes.
