Every generation wonders if it will be the last one. Over the years, many people have tried to put an exact date on it. There are whole sections with books about the end times in Christian bookstores. I'm here to tell you when it will really happen.
While we were leaving the temple with Jesus, I stared at the size and how majestic it was. I said to him, "Look, Teacher! What massive stones! What magnificent buildings!"
"Do you see all these things?" he asked. "Truly I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down."
Confused, I looked at the others. What did Jesus mean by that?
"For Christianity is a fighting religion. It thinks God has made the world- that space and time, heat and cold, and all the colors and tastes, and all the animals and vegetables are things that God 'made up out of His head' as a man makes up a story. But it also thinks that a great many things have gone wrong with the world that God made and that God insists, and insists very loudly, on our putting them right again." Mere Christianity
Closer to Jerusalem, we came across a few Pharisees.
"When will the kingdom of God come," they asked Jesus.
Jesus replied, "The coming of the kingdom of God is not something that can be observed, nor will people say, 'Here it is,' or 'There it is,' because the kingdom of God is in your midst."
