Not Your Ordinary Sabbatical

In the last few years, I have taken the month of June off for a sabbatical. The first was for burn out, and last year was preventative maintenance. This year, the perfect storm hit.

This June will be a “Sam-atical.” I’m sure there will be little rest, but lots of adventure.

As with past sabbaticals, I won’t be posting anything…except when Samuel is born.

LearningThis year, the Learning Under Jesus series came to an end. I began the series on January 17, 2017. For three years, it was one of the most popular posts. I thought of continuing it with the Apostles but ultimately decided to end it with Pentecost.

This means when I get back in July (I hope), the blog will have a fresh start. It needs it. Traffic is shrinking, at least for the newer posts.

My old fitness assessment posts are doing well through search engines alone.

However, Facebook has blocked my page. From what I can figure out, I promoted my posts heavily and triggered some spam algorithm or something.

I don’t know when or if it will be unblocked, so never to miss anything, subscribe by email if you wish to continue the journey with me.

So what will I write about when the Sam-atical ends? Well, I’m sure Sam will be a topic. My editor would love a Samuel series, and she’s not thinking about the prophet.

I was thinking about writing book reviews or recommendations since I read A LOT of nonfiction.

What would you like to see me write about? Answer in the comments.

I will see you guys after my son is born. Wish me luck; I’ll need it.
