The Republicans continue to prove that their is no hope for them short of a massive rebuild. They have been purging the Representatives that actually walk the walk from the Finance Committees. Reason.com has a multitude of stories here and here among others.
If you don’t walk the Party Line they’ll make you ineffective. They even admit as much here
Rep. Lynn Westmoreland, a conservative who is close to party leaders, told them that “the a—hole factor” came into play in the Steering decision.
“He said that it had nothing to do with their voting record, a scorecard, or their actions across the street [meaning fundraising],” Westmoreland spokeswoman Leslie Shedd told POLITICO. “It had to do with their inability to work with other members, which some people might refer to as the a—hole factor.”
For a party that’s only strength is their ‘fiscal responsibility’ rhetoric that successfully put them in the majority in the House, they’ve proven they can’t be trusted.
