A Different Perspective on Money

Have you ever seen the movie In Time? It’s set in the future and technology has enabled humans to stop aging at 25, however they’ll only live for another year.  A economic system sprang up that instead of trading currency, your life IS the currency in the form of years, months, days, hours, minutes, and seconds. You can build up your time by work, trade, gambling or theft. Or even charity. And you lose a little of your life every time you buy something, such as a bus ride costing 2 hours of your life. Oh and when you’re out of time, you die where you stand.

Little creepy huh?

Couldn’t happen?

It does already. You want a iPhone, and it costs 250$. You make minimum wage…$7.25 an hour. You have to work 34.5 hours to buy it(and I’m not even taking out or including taxes). That phone cost you a day and a half of your life that you’ll never get back. Not knocking iPhones, I have and love mine. Just an example.

If people thought like that they may not waste so much money and time and step back and enjoy life.
