A New Gang In Town? Juggalos?

Looking at my Twitter feed on Friday I noticed Reason magazine had a tweet on a article titled “The Juggalo Conspiracy”. Now I know who ICP are and have listened to them but I’m not a die-hard fan aka a Juggalo. I have friends who are and apparently there’s a possibility that they’re criminals!

At least according to the F.B.I here. On page 21 they go in depth on Juggalos being a gang in at least 4 states! Arizona, California, Pennsylvania, and Utah. In a sidebar on page 22 they have this.

Although law enforcement officials in Arizona, California, Pennsylvania, Utah, and Washington report the most Juggalo gang-related criminal activity, Juggalos are present in Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Massachusetts, Michigan, New mexico, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia, according to NGiC reporting.”

Now let’s look at the reasons and sources they cite. The link provided didn’t work but I found the story here. The F.B.I report states…

In January 2010, two suspected Juggalo associates
were charged with beating and robbing an
elderly homeless man.

The story says only one claimed to be a juggalo, and he has the “hatchetman”

Hatchet man

tattoo so the Prosecutor is trying to link him to a gang called the “Downtown Juggalos”

The other link here to another story didn’t work. They claimed that…

In January 2011, a suspected Juggalo member
shot and wounded a couple in King County,
Washington, according to open source reporting.

But when I tried to go here, my browser couldn’t find it. So I looked on my own. I found this story on Google here, of a self-described Juggalo who the cops said the only proof they had of him in a gang is because he said so. I could say I was in a gang and I’d be lying. Oh! He had a tattoo to. Incriminating.

How bad is ICP and it’s Juggalo fans? I found this review on one of their concerts on the same search page as the above story. Read that here.

Does that look like gang activity to you?
Let’s get back to the FBI report.

“Juggalos’ disorganization and lack of structure within their groups, coupled with their transient nature, makes it difficult to classify them and identify their members and migration patterns.”

Disorganization? Lack of structure? No hierarchy? What gang operates like that?

“However, law enforcement reporting suggests that Juggalo criminal activ-
ity has increased over the past several years and has expanded to several other states transient, criminal Juggalo groups pose a threat to communities due to the potential for violence, drug use/sales, and their general destructive and violent nature.”

Suggests that…? Potential for…? What happened to “Innocent until proven guilty?”

They have violent lyrics? Why they must be evil and stopped.

Except, think about this…Country music legend Johnny Cash once “shot a man just to watch him die” in a song and smoked weed in another. Hank Williams Jr. wanted to shoot the guy who killed his friend in a song. That’s the promotion of murder, drug use, and vigilantism. So I guess all country music fans are dangerous?

Songs are words to music, not actions.

How many times did you want to smack someone or said you would, but never did? Thinking and saying harms no one, doing does. And what controls you? Your brain. To paint an entire group on the actions of a few is ignorant and a mark of the sheep mentality at work.

Just because someone in a position of authority doesn’t make them right, you should especially question them, because they’re decisions have the weight of law. Judge everyone as an individual, after you see their actions and understand the why behind the actions. That’s the mark of the Wolf Mentality at work.

Have you ever been judged before someone got to know you?
