Remember, remember the 5th of November
“Remember remember the fifth of November
Gunpowder, treason and plot.
I see no reason why gunpowder, treason
Should ever be forgot…”
Though those who’ve seen V for Vendetta may or may not know the reason behind the Gunpowder Plot, I still love the movie. By theĀ way, the plot was two religions fighting for power. A few Catholics wanted to kill the Protestant king so they can put a Catholic in his place. Not that admirable…
Though the message in V is slightly different, fighting for democracy in a tyrannical, dystopian country. For a graphic novel written in the ’80s you can see how its prophetical in a way. Watch this clip, with subtitles, and see if you notice similarities between what’s being described and what happening.

What English history seems to omit is the religious persecution of Catholics under King James I. And remember our founding fathers plotted treason against the British Kingdom and America was born. Here is the link to this article…and no, I am not Catholic but pagan LOL

I’ll read that article when I get time. About to go to Hell and they frown on cell phones now, at least mine.

If I remember right, we just told the King to leave us alone. He pushed the issue and got his ass whipped. It was treason our Founders committed, your right there. And from what I just read, James needed to be overthrown. Just not a Catholic theocratic monarchy in its place.
